Driver requirements
For a luxury or high-end vehicle rental service, driver requirements usually focus on safety, eligibility, and insurance compliance. Here are the standard rules:
Age Limit: Drivers must typically be at least 21 or 25 years old. For high-performance supercars, some providers require the driver to be 30+.
Valid License: A full, clean driving license is mandatory. International visitors usually need an International Driving Permit (IDP) alongside their original license.
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is often required via credit card to cover potential minor damages or fines.
Driving Record: Drivers should have a clean record, usually with no major convictions or high penalty points within the last 2-3 years.
Identification: Aside from a license, a secondary proof of identity (like a Passport) and Proof of Address are standard requirements for verification.
Booking rules
For a premium booking system, the rules should be clear to ensure a smooth professional process. Here are the essential Booking Rules:
Reservation Deposit: A non-refundable advance payment is usually required to confirm the booking and block the dates.
Booking Confirmation: A reservation is only considered "Confirmed" once the ID verification and payment receipt are validated.
Cancellation Policy: Full refunds are typically only available if cancelled 24-48 hours in advance. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
Extension Policy: If a user wishes to extend the booking, they must notify the provider at least 6 hours before the original return time, subject to availability.
Fuel & Mileage: Vehicles are often provided with a full tank and must be returned the same way. Some luxury rentals also have a daily mileage cap.
Inspection: A joint pre-rental inspection (photos/videos) is mandatory to document the vehicle's condition before the keys are handed over.
